Good day. I am Douglas Wolf and was first elected to Pinal County Assessor in 2012.
My reason for running again in 2024 is because we need to hold the conservative line here in Pinal County.
My conservative journey started in 1978, when I went to a precinct caucus in my home state of Minnesota. Jimmy Carter was ruining the country and as a college student, I knew I had to get active. From that caucus, I went on to be the college student-wide student coordinator for the successful US Senate campaign for Rudy Boschwitz.
After graduating with Business and Journalism degrees, I went to work for Arlen Erdahl, Congressman in the First Congressional District.
In 1984, with my wife Gloria and I moved to San Diego and begin to raise our two children and run my businesses. In 2011 we escaped California to the free state of Arizona.
Prior to being elected, I was in private business in two fields: Computer software implementation for sales professionals, and residential and commercial real estate.
I also authored 30 books on computer software applications including several "Dummies" titles. You can find my books on Amazon under the author name Douglas J. Wolf.
In my role as the Assessor, I mange a professional staff of about 60. My job is to protect and represent the taxpayer and follow the Constitution, State Law and Department of Revenue guidelines to fairly and equitably value all the properties in Pinal County. We also process tax exemptions for eligible widows and widowers, veterans and the disabled. In addition, our office is responsible for creating maps for property splits and combinations.
